First Lovers show ever:
Early 1995, I had just returned from Xmas break with a broken right hand and left collarbone from a "shattering" snowboarding accident up at Bridger Bowl. A friend of mine had brought a Lovers tape into the dorms (yep, 1st year in college), and when we heard that CL would be playing at the Moscow Community Center we _had_ to go.
So there I am, bouncing along with half of Moscow, worked up into a veritable froth, getting even more broke and bruised. The crowd was so hyped I think Chris Jonat could have _really_ won a mayorial election that night. There's nothing more bizarre than a Clumsy Lovers Ren Fair benefit concert on codeine. I don't think anyway...
