When was the first time you saw the Clumsy Lovers?

For me it was when they opened for Boiled in Lead at the now defunct Backstage in Seattle. I was
talked into going by a friend who was a BIG Lead fan. The Lead boys were not having a good show
that night. To add to their embarrasment The Lovers had just upstaged them with one of the highest
energy shows you will ever see. My friend captured the spirit best when he described the squeeze
box player as possessed by Jimi Hendrix.

I'm not sure when this show was, but it was before the Six Million Dollar thang and subsequent CD.
I have since seen the Lovers open for Boiled in Lead again (much better this time around) and at the
Kila show. I can't even begin to count the shows I've seen but I think my favorite venue is Conor Byrne's
in Seattle.

One of my favorite shows was when they performed at Folklife on a Sunday afternoon. This, after they
had done an opening gig and stayed at the bar drinking with the infamous Schmarr! (tm). Every one
was tired, Cam J. was quite hung over, and poor Kevin was ill. They still put a great show to a very
excited crowd.

Hope I haven't told to many secrets,

A Lover fan,

Bruce
