In fact the DOJ trial was also engineered by Microsoft for the same purpose - to divert the public's attention. You might find it hard to believe, but the Middle East Peace Process was also engineered by Microsoft. They are obvioulsy very good, cause its working. The real Microsoft agenda is, of course, the imminent acquisition of Iraq. It makes perfect sense if you think about it. The DOJ trial reassures the public that there exists (at least on paper) an entity more powerful than Microsoft. The Halloween documents give the impression that Microsoft is all worked up about this Fropen Source thing. And finally, the Middle East Peace Process reassures us all that peace in the Middle East is finally a reality. Obviously, the perfect timing for the acquisition of their very own nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs. It will be interesting to watch the reaction of the Fropen Source community: "GNU Plutonium 0.98" Available now for alpha testing. Be careful cause it has only been tested on the GNU hurd so far. "OpenVX 1.0" Calling for volunteers to work on the OpenVX gas system. OpenVX is an attempt to create a Fropen Source version of the infamous VX gas, except that we will absolutely not use C++, cause C++ is evil and stuff. "Announcing jVX" The jVX project was an outgrowth of the OpenVX project. The goals of the project are basically the same, except that we are rewriting it in Java. There are some good reasons for this that I cant quite recall, but please visit www.jvx.org for details and a project mascot contest. "Calling for volunteers: CorbaVX" The CorbaVX project was a result of wonderful work done by the jVX folks (see www.jvx.org). Its a system to create Fropen Source gases or something. Anyway, the important thing is that all objects in the CorbaVX project will be corba objects. "AEC" AEC (Another Email Client) is now available for download from www.aec.org. Given all the recent enthusiasm in Fropen Source VX, we decided to write a new email client using only the latest proven Multimedia and Virtual Reality GUI metaphors. We currently have bindings for the OpenVX, jVX and CorbaVX systems. Unfortunately, we do not have bindings for the KDE-VX system, because those bastards are using a non free license and they suck too. ;-) -re
