If you need or want a high-speed connection to the Internet, then an ethernet network is what you should have. Each room in the Residence Halls at the University of Idaho has been wired for the capability to connect to the campus network and the Internet. This document is a set of instruction that explain how to use the these ethernet ports for your needs.
These instructions are divided into four major sections: purchasing a network card; installing the new card; signing the Data Connection Agreement; and installing the network software. All steps are kept as non-technical and easy as possible so that anyone can get connected.
