well, there's two different songs that you might be thinking of. one's a bagpipe tune by a canadian named neil dickie, and our original namesake. it has no words. we also played a song called "clumsy lovin'" for a while. it was by our old guitar player, quintin, and the chorus went "well i'm fumblin around, baby please make a sound, and just maybe i'll sleep like a log tonight. try as i might i just can't get it right; don't you know clumsy lovin' is all i can give". or something like that. it's been a while (sorry if i got it wrong, quintin). anyway, which one were you thinking of?

: Okay, well at least now I know I'm not crazy. When I first saw you guys at Palousafest in 95, I thought for sure that you played a song called "Clumsy Lover," but I haven't heard it played since. It was one of my favorite songs, but I had started to think that I had just imagined it. Are you just not playing it anymore, or am I just going to all the wrong shows?

: : sad to say, the clumsy lover itself hasn't made a record of ours yet. the best one for dancing (and we're not really qualified in this area, we're just speculating) would probably be the newest record, "picture this", as it has the most instrumentals on it. conversely, you could just wait for the next record, as none of the current ones contain the multi-faceted talents of evan!

: : it's up to you!

: : love,

: : : This is Kathleen Hall (Daniel's little sister, Evan) and I would definitely like to get an album. But I was wondering which one to get--I would especially like one that would have suitable choreography music for a Scottish Highland Dancer or one that has the tune "Clumsy Lover" on it (it's great for the hornpipe!). Any advice? Thanks! Kathleen (PS: my e-mail address is only good until 6 August. After that, try my father's.)
