Title: Candle Medium: Oil on canvas (plus paper and wax) Dimensions: about 2.5 foot tall Above you can see a little sketch to that painting. I am fascinated by candles and I was working with candle wax on previous paintings anyway, so why not use candle wax to portait a candle? I did not intend to have everybody see a candle in that painting though. Hardly anybody does and it is very exciting to me to see what different peolple get out of it. It is very satisfying to know that I can get people's imagination going and therefore the candle idea was just a way for me to get started and not the fact that it should look like a real candle.
